The calculator can be useful when you have a number of sizes in some units of measurement and you need to quickly convert them to other units by knowing the relationship between the units. For example, there are several values associated with the size of an amphora, the diameter of the neck, the diameter of the widest part, the depth from the neck to the bottom, etc. The dimensions are given in dactyls (dactyl, from Greek dactyl, an ancient measure of length, approximately equal to 1.85 centimetres). To see these dimensions in centimetres, enter them in the "Values to convert" field below with a space, 20 9 11 3 (the tab character and semicolon also work as a value separator). In the Multiplier field, enter the value of the dactyl in centimetres, 1.85, and the result is a series of converted values separated by a space, 37.00 16.65 20.35 5.55. For convenience of the reverse conversion, the field for multiplier input supports simple mathematical operations - to convert from centimetres to dactyls in the "Multiplier" field it is enough to enter the fraction 1/1.85.

I hope this calculator has turned out to be a versatile and handy tool for quickly converting a set of values from one unit of measurement to another (centimetres to inches, square feet to square metres, and so on), for any two units of measurement whose ratio is expressed through a multiplier.
